October Wine Tasting
Oct 13th, 2011Join us on October 13th as we welcome our friend Roxi from InVie Wine
Distributors in for a great wine tasting. This month we are featuring
wines from all over the world, including Chile, Australia, and closer to
home like North Carolina, Washington, and California. Here is the
lineup:
- Red Tree Moscato - Our 2009 Moscato is soft and slightly spritzy with nectarine and rose
petal flavors and crisp acidity. This sweet and elegant wine can be
enjoyed as an after dinner refreshment with a variety of desserts or as a
refreshing sipper on a warm summer afternoon.
- Biltmore Century White - This semi-sweet blend including Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Muscat
Canelli features aromatic aromas of roses and fresh mint.
- Snoqualmie Naked Riesling - Organically farmed and produced, this Riesling offers bright aromas of
apricot and spice, with a hint of mineral carried through on the palate.
The off-dry finish is clean and soft and the pure elegance of the
varietal is fully captured in this bottling. A perfect aperitif or wine
pairing with assorted cheese.
- Buehler Chardonnay - Russian River Chardonnay spotlights the floral/lime quality of the fruit
aromas and accents them with toasty, graham cracker sur-lie qualities.
The mouthfeel is creamy and full but the natural acidity of the Russian
River fruit carries this velvet textured package to a long, clean
finish.
- Biltmore Cardinal Crest - Named for the ceremonial wall hanging in Biltmore's collection, this distinctive blend is soft and easy-to-drink.
- Jam-Jar Shiraz - Jam Jar Sweet Shiraz was born out of the realization that there are not a
lot of options available to consumers seeking quality sweet red wine.
This fresh, fruity, semi-sweet Shiraz aims to fill that void. Most of
the grapes are grown in Paarl, a region with a Rhone-like climate that
is ideal for Shiraz cultivation.
Jam Jar is sweet perfection...Simple, pure and honest!
- Manos Negras Carmenere - Rich aromas of ripe cherry, dusty earth, and bright and fresh red fruits. Meaty and well-balanced.
- Cameron Hughes Zin Your Face Zinfandel- Hailing predominately from Lodi, this Zinfandel is classic Old Vine
with a Zin-berry nose. Black cherry, raspberry and molten chocolate come
together in a perfect finish.
This tasting is free and open to the public (21 and older or course)
