Keg Liquors is
one of the few stores in the State of Indiana that is scheduled to
receive one of the most sought after beers in the world. Due to the
scarcity of the beer and the limited amounts that will be available, we
will be using a lottery system to make things more fair and easier for
us to get it sold to people.
Pricing on the gift set is:
Cash - $85.00 plus sales tax
Credit Card - $90.00 plus sales tax.
We are charging the extra $5 for credit card use to cover the expenses that we incur via the use of credit cards. This will allow us to maintain the price that the Abbey was looking for, but if you have to use a credit card, we will not lose money on the transaction.
So here is how we are going to run it. In the body of an email, send your name, phone number and email addr
to orders at kegliquors dot com (sorry, we have to spell it out to keep
from getting a lot of spam messages to this account). You will be
placed into the lottery and we will draw names based on the number of
gift packs we receive. Please do not respond to this event, or contact
us via Facebook, email reservations are going to be the only way to keep
There is a limit of one gift pack per
customer. If drawn, you will receive an email and a phone call letting
you know that you are eligible to purchase the gift pack. You'll have
48 hours from the time we notify you to get in contact with us to
arrange your purchase.
Each gift pack contains 6 bottles of Westvleteren 12 in 11.2oz bottles and two Westy logo glasses.
The Abbey of St Sixtus, located in the far west of Belgium, is home to
24 monks, and the Trappist Westvleteren brewery that they have operated
since 1838. The brewery is one of only six Trappist breweries in
Belgium, and is the second-smallest of them. (Only the Achel Trappist
brewery is a bit smaller.) It produces about 50,000 cases of beer per
year, which is sold only at the gates of the Abbey, one case per
customer only. It makes only three beers – Westvleteren Blonde,
Westvleteren 8°, and Westvleteren 12°. About half of the brewery’s
production is of Westvleteren 12°, the most popular of the beers and, as
every beer aficionado knows, the highest-rated beer in the world. The
Abbey has created the Westvleteren XII gift boxes, and allowed the sale
of its beers outside of the Abbey’s gates for this one time only, in
order to raise money for much-needed building renovations.
